Ages 8 – 10 Following the USTA's 10 and under tennis initiative, this camp introduces young juniors to tennis through fun drills and games. Basic tennis strokes, movement, and scoring are all taught with smaller equipment that allows the beginner to play the game almost immediately with less frustration and more fun!
Ages 9 – 12 For juniors who are starting to develop tennis strokes and rallying ability, camp will focus on skills and strategy development through drills, on-court games, and match play.
Ages 13 – 15 Teen beginner and intermediate players will focus on stroke development and basic strategy. More advanced players will also work on their singles and doubles game strategy and tactics. All levels will hit plenty of balls with drills, on-court games, and supervised match play.
Ages 14 – 18 If you are a junior playing USTA tournaments or high school team tennis, this is the camp for you! Our program is designed to develop strategic tennis techniques, increase speed and improve fitness. The morning activities will focus on drills and conditioning, followed by supervised singles and doubles match play in the afternoon. Video analysis will be used to show participants their strengths and where they can improve their play.
All Tournament Training participants will have the opportunity to participate in match play with other clubs throughout the summer.
New for 2012For three weeks in July, ASTC will be offering late afternoon tennis clinics for young beginners, ages 5 -10 years old.
