Elite Tennis for Junior Varsity Players is Back!
Our Elite Training Program is designed to give players an opportunity to work on specific skill development. We will be using the Playmate ball machine for intensive drills followed by pro lead drills. Each week there will be a theme to the drills. Some of the themes are: recovering on the baseline after a tough shot, approach, volley and overhead play and hitting angled ground strokes and volleys.
This six week program starts on Sunday, September 16 and will run through Sunday, October 21, 2012.
The class is held from 12:30-2:00pm. The price for the six week session is $90 or you can pay just $20 per week.
Sign up at the front desk! Green Ball Jr. Tournament Team ASTC is launching a Green Ball Junior Tournament Team. Matches will be played on Saturdays, starting in December and continuing through March. The cost is $10/match. If you are interesting in joining the Green Ball Team, contact Bill at bill@allseasonstennisclub.com. The ASTC Tournament Team
The Tournament Team is a group of young ASTC tennis players who will travel to USTA tournaments together. At the tournament our Staff Pro Kevin Bates will be teaching them the correct routines for pre-match preparation, nutrition, post-match recovery, mental preparation and forming strategies for success on the court. Kevin will watch their matches carefully and take notes to review with players after the match. These notes will help players focus their efforts in their clinics and private lessons. There is no cost for ASTC members to join the team. Tournaments are $25.00 each.
Benefits of joining the Tournament Team:
Kevin will have first hand observations of how his students are doing at tournaments and provide feedback on performance. All of the members of the tournament team are encouraged to hone their skills using our Open Play sessions on Saturdays and Sundays.
If you are interested in joining the ASTC Tournament Team, contact Kevin Bates at Kevin@allseasonstennisclub.com. |
ASTC's Junior Clinic Program was revised this year to follow guidelines recently issued by the United States Tennis Association (USTA):
Each session meets one day per week for 8 weeks. Ages are meant to be used as a guideline. Our instructors will be able to assist you in placing your child in the appropriate class according to his or her ability, NOT AGE
Open Play Session
ASTC feels that practice is important. As participants in the clinic learn new skills, they need time to practice them. Included in the price of each clinic is one Open Play session per week. Open Play sessions are supervised by ASTC staff.
We offer a choice of Open Play times for each level, so you can sign up for the time that best fits your schedule. We must have at least 2 participants signed up for Open Play session to keep that time available.
For those who want additional practice, you can sign up for the second Open Play session each week and pay just $10 for Red, Orange and Green sessions or $15 for a Yellow Ball sessions.
We feel it is important to have time to practice the skills you learn in the clinics. However, we understand that sometimes there just isn't enough time for everything. If you do not want to attend any of the Open Play sessions, you can reduce the course price by $80.00.
NOTE:
All players aged 8 and over who attend multiple sessions must be a junior member of All Seasons Tennis Club to participate. Nonmembers may attend only one session. The difference in price for a nonmember attending a session will not be applied to the cost of a junior membership if the player signs up for a membership after the start of the session.
Register for multiple clinics in a session and get a 5% discount! This offer applies to an individual attending multiple clinics and to siblings attending clinics.
